Review: Director Rosshan Andrrews crafts a gripping whodunnit with Dev Ambre (Shahid Kapoor), a cop who claims to have solved a murder—only to lose his memory in an accident. As the mystery unfolds, the film slowly explores Dev’s dual persona before and after memory loss, keeping viewers intrigued despite a sluggish pace.
The first half sets the stage with strong character buildup, while the second half delves into darker, emotional territory. Shahid Kapoor delivers a compelling yet occasionally over-the-top performance. Pooja Hegde and Kubbra Sait are effective but underutilized. The cinematography and action sequences shine, bolstered by Jakes Bejoy’s impactful background score.
Though plagued by narrative loopholes and underdeveloped subplots, the film's intensity and slick execution make it a worthwhile watch.
